Hannover/Munich, March 9, 2014 Fujitsu today announces that it will present at CeBIT 2014 (Hall 7, Booth A28) a variety of new services, solutions and products around the trend themes of Security, Mobility, Big Data and Cloud, all under the guiding principle of ‘Human Centric Intelligent Society.’ In the SAP HANA Showroom at the SAP Booth in Hall 4, Fujitsu will inform customers about SAP HANA deployment scenarios and show its complete in-memory database (IMDB) portfolio – spanning from infrastructure solutions to SAP HANA in the cloud.

Fujitsu will also show at CeBIT how new mobile devices allow safer mobile working thanks to PalmSecure palm vein scan or smart card authentication. Examples include the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK U904, the thinnest 14- inch business Ultrabook in the world, the new mobile workstation CELSIUS H730 and the tablet PC STYLISTIC Q704. These premium class lightweight devices are suitable for demanding business users, offering not only convenience but also safety. The device showcase is completed by application scenarios and best-practice solutions for stationery and mobile use of biometric authentication by palm vein scan, for example to access IT systems or for building entry.

For secure mobile device management and adherence to compliance regulations in companies, Fujitsu offers Managed Mobile, a solution that can manage the devices from different manufacturers and different operating systems (Bring Your Own Device). A role-based administration allows secure mobile access to data, applications and communication channels. Precisely adjusted to the individual needs of the company, Fujitsu develops a security concept with the customer in advance of the implementation. Managed Mobile can be supported by Managed Services, delivered on-premise, or obtained as cloud service.

In addition, Fujitsu will present a secure run-time environment with end-to-end encryption on application level and increased encryption depth. This allows secure, highly-performing and centrally managed connectivity of arbitrary users and devices in specific workflows and applications, as well as the secure connection of user-owned devices (BYOD).

Adressing this year’s CeBIT theme, Datability, Fujitsu presents services, solutions and products that help to manage ever-increasing amounts of data. Companies using the versatile ETERNUS DX S3 disk storage systems can adjust memory capacity to their changing requirements and achieve a system utilization of up to 90 per cent. This not only increases efficiency, but also creates space for larger amounts of data.

As a certified SAP HANA partner, Fujitsu will discuss the challenges in Big Data projects and share its experience from over 300 SAP HANA projects. In this space, Fujitsu focuses on solutions with protective mechanisms against data misuse allowing responsible use of Big Data. For a quick and easy entry into In-Memory data management, Fujitsu presents the Fujitsu Power Appliances for SAP HANA for implementing an in-memory database (IMDB), as well as the Fujitsu terracotta server BigMemory – an in-memory data grid solution (IMDG) resulting from a cooperation with Software AG. Fujitsu supports the projects with complementary services. In the SAP HANA Showroom at the SAP booth in Hall 4, Fujitsu experts showcase usage scenarios, best practices, and cloud services around SAP HANA and concepts for comprehensive real-time data platforms based on SAP HANA, Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ and Hadoop. In addition, industry-specific solutions – for example for Retail – and Mobility senarios will be presented.

Furthermore, Fujitsu together with its technology partner NetApp, will present the jointly developed reference architecture vShape, which is based on PRIMERGY server technology, NetApp FAS storage, network components from Brocade and VMware virtualization software and Microsoft. vShape is the first ‘Converged IT Infrastructure’ based on clustered NetApp Data ONTAP, the industry’s most innovative storage operating system. NetApp helps enable enterprises to manage their data.

In order to provide IT solutions and services with a high degree of flexibility and to manage various cloud and non-cloud services uniformly to companies, Fujitsu offers the FUJITSU Cloud Integration Platform. It allows the integration, deployment and management of all cloud services and traditional ICT systems within the company efficiently with a single console.
